Drake Relays results - The 4x100 team of Tyler Wieringa, Logan Franken, Clayton Bosma and Tanner Schouten placed 10th out of 48. That same team ran the 4x200 and placed 5th out of 24. Logan Franken placed 8th in the entire state in the 100 meter dash.
Boys and girls golf teams both won their meets last night against Akron-Westfield. Great night for the Knights. Both teams shot their best team scores of the year. Exciting finish to the night with everyone watching Kerri and Laura play in a 3 hole playoff. Both girls played fantastic, with Laura winning in the playoff.
Jacob Sandbulte - medalist, shot a 38, Jack Noteboom - runner-up medalist, Titan Hulstein - 3rd place. Laura Beltman - medalist, shot a 42, Kerri Kroeze - runner-up medalist.
Girls Varsity Soccer won their game against SBL last night 2-1 after two OT and a shootout.
Boys Soccer JV tied and V lost their games.

Unity Society Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Knight Center. A school report plus ratification of the 2021/22 school budget will be on the agenda as well as election of new school board members. All UCHS Society members are invited to attend. One nominee is to be elected from each of the following pairs below. All terms are four years. Absentee ballots and nominee profiles are available in the school office and at www.unitychristian.net.

Cheerleading tryouts will be held on Monday, April 26, and on Thursday, April 29 at 7:30 a.m. each day.

The Advanced Sculpture class will be firing ceramics in an outdoor pit firing in the near future. A variety of organic materials will leave a variety of colors on the pottery. Following is a list of materials that can be used: seaweed and driftwood (in Iowa?), dried banana peels, dried citrus fruits and skins, avocado skins and stones, pistachio shells and other nut shells, copper wire (to wrap around pots), coffee grounds, tea bags, horse hair. If you could save any of these materials and bring them to school in the next couple of weeks, it would be greatly appreciated. For the fruit peels that need to be dried, you could probably lay them out on your driveway on a sunny day. If they are not quite dry I can dry them more in an oven. Thank you, Rudy Folkerts
