SPORTS REPORT

Cheer: Each year the state of Iowa holds an Honor Cheer event to recognize and celebrate the future leaders attending schools in Iowa. Each ICCA member school is able to nominate cheerleaders from the school that meet qualifications in grade point average, leadership activities, and community involvement. This year Unity Christian High School has selected Ava Noyes to receive this honor. Ava is an active member of the student council at Unity as well as being a living group leader. She will have the opportunity to perform during the state championship football games, one at 10:00am and one at 1:00pm, on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. Congratulations, AVA!!!

COIN WAR THIS WEEK NOV 13-17! This is a competition between classes. (Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) The charity that we give the money to will be chosen by the winning class! THIS IS A COMPETITION!The jugs for each class are in the office.

Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House: In your living group classrooms students might see little house shaped boxes. These boxes are there so that when you finish a drink that is in a can and has a pop tab, you can break it off and put it inside the box. This raises money for the Ronald McDonald House, which is a place where families of kids who are in the hospital long term can go to sleep and rest near their child without going back to their homes that might be far away from the hospital. Some Unity families have stayed there and it is a great place that we can easily support just by breaking off our pop tabs!
