DRAKE RELAYS - Friday at 8:58am Anna Heynen will compete at Drake Relays in the 100m dash. She had to be in the top 32 all class to qualify! Aubrey De Groot will be high jumping at 9:30am on Friday, she had to be in the top 24 all class!
Tuesday 4/25 Golf vs. Akron-Westfield Results: Boys won UC 169 AW 170. 3rd Place Graden Van Essen 40; 4th Place Titan Hulstein 41. Girls lost UC 222 AW 209. Medalist Lauren Vande Griend 47;

WARRIOR SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY - Last week Tuesday, 4/18 G/B soccer played Sioux Center. Warrior Sports Photography (Dan Wolfswinkel) took some great photos of the games vs. Sioux Center. Since we will be joining the Siouxland Conference next year, Unity will be playing Sioux Center in each sport regularly and therefore an opportunity for more Unity pictures by Dan.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Senior Dutch Dance Practice starts NEXT week. We will meet Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 7:15-7:45 at the OC Elementary gym. Find a partner and join us. We hope to see you there!
Praise & Worship Night! The student-led evening of Praise & Worship has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 2 at 7:00pm in the Knight Center. Everyone from the community is welcome! We’d love to see everyone from our area there to worship with us. There will be a time for fellowship and refreshments following the event.
State National History Day results: Congratulations to all NHD Iowa State Contest participants and winners on your outstanding work! MyKayla Zylstra won the Iowa History Award with her documentary "Jumping Through Hoops: Denise Long and the Journey to Professional Women's Basketball." Kenna Huizenga, Corrie De Vries, and Emma DeRooy qualified for the NHD competition in Washington D.C. in June with their performance of "The 19th Amendment: The Law That Changed the Lives of Women Forever/" Madi Bosma and Caleb Westra took 3rd place with their documentary "Operation Highjump." Amalia Visser and Morgan Hummel received 3rd place with their exhibit "Space for Us: The Mercury 13 Story." Great job to everyone who competed!
TULIP FESTIVAL: Rope holders are needed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 18, 19, & 20, during the Tulip Festival, Please contact the Orange City Police Department at 707-4885 if you would like to help.

Flipping Class Periods 7th and 8th - Monday, May 1. This helps students who participate in spring sports and need to leave early for games/meets.
LIFE SERVE BLOOD DRIVE @ Unity is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17 from 9:00-1:30. Scan the QR code on the posters around school to register. Students 16-17 years old must obtain parent permission. Permission slips available in the office.

Paraprofessional (new) - This hourly position will begin in the 3rd week of August and go through to the end of the 23-24 school year in the 4th week of May. Work hours are expected to be from 8:15am until 3:45pm each day. To learn more about the position contact Mrs. Dana Broers at 712-737-4114 or at dbroers@unitychristian.net.
Kitchen Staff (new) - This hourly position will begin in the 3rd week of August and go through to the end of the 23-24 school year in the 4th week of May.
