SPORTS REPORT

REACH OUT! On Friday, February 2, 2024, Unity and MOC-FV will be playing basketball games at MOC-FV. This night is bigger than basketball. It is a night we call Reach Out. Reach Out started 13 years ago as a way for our two schools to work together to raise funds for families in our community who are in need. Each year we give out over $10,000 to families who are experiencing high medical costs. One of the primary ways we raise funds is by selling t-shirts, with business sponsors listed on the back. Please print this order form. Please support our efforts by ordering one or more shirts. Order forms are due to Unity by TODAY January 11, 2024. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

School Bus Routes for Monday January 15.  Due to the early out at Unity on Monday, January 15, the Sioux Center bus route will run at 1:30pm. ALL OTHER ROUTES will run at 3:30pm.

Homecoming dance is next week Friday, January 19, after the basketball games. This year the dance will be held at the shelter house in Children's Park in Sioux Center. The dance goes until midnight, and costs $10 to get in. See you all there!

Thursday, January 11 Digital Citizenship Presentation: Bobby Truhe, a school attorney, is coming for a social media presentation. He will do a Middle School presentation at 9:15 attended by Ireton, SCCS, and OCCS students. He will then present it to the high school students. The presentations are an hour long. Parents are invited to both. 

ACT Prep Class - We are excited to offer ACT Prep again this year! Mrs. Clark is offering Prep sessions ahead of the April 13 test date. Sessions will be Saturday mornings 9-12 at school starting February 24. Total cost is $150. If you are interested in signing (your child) up or have any questions, email Mrs. Ruth Clark at rclark@unitychristian.net and she will take care of the rest! The class will be capped at 25, so please email by Saturday, Feb. 3, if you are interested. See this letter for more information.
