ANNOUNCEMENTS
Backstage Help: Are you an organized person? The One-Act needs some help backstage with props and managing. If you are interested in helping, please talk to Mrs. Clark by Fri, Oct. 18. This brief job will require coming to practice for the first couple weeks in November leading up to Combo Night on November 14.
Congratulations to Millie Brommer who was selected by audition for the Ninth Grade OPUS Honor Choir sponsored by the Iowa Choral Directors Association. She will rehearse and perform with 180 ninth grade singers from across the state of Iowa at the festival on Thursday, November 21 in Ames.
Speech season is coming soon! Please join coaches Mrs. Vermeer and Kara Van Genderen for a brief informational meeting in the art room on October 30 after Living Groups. All students are welcome--there is a place for you in speech! New this year are speech captains. See the link below for more information and to apply for a fun new role on the speech team. https://forms.gle/ERihDgAbFz93DAYq7
Senior pictures! It’s time to submit your senior and child photos for the yearbook. Submit your photos via this Google form by December 2nd. The yearbook needs two pictures - 1) a senior picture and 2) a baby/child picture. Please choose vertical photos. These photos will be used in the yearbook and the slideshow at JSB. Please email lkuiper@unitychristian.net with any questions.
Library Announcement: the library is missing 2 computer chargers. We make these chargers available as a service to the student body. We want to continue that service. If you borrowed them, please return them ASAP. Thank you!!
Ronald McDonald Houses in Classrooms: The Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to go when they have a child in the hospital long term so they can be near them. They provide such a big help to these families and we at Unity can help raise money for them by taking off pop tabs and placing them in the little house shaped boxes that are in each classroom. If you have any questions you can reach out to Kendra Breems. Thank you!
