Tuesday, March 10 *Regular day of school (8 periods with Chapel)

Wednesday, March 11 *No school

2:00pm - Unity Christian vs. Western Christian

Thursday, March 12 *No school if we win Wednesday

7:15pm - 2A semifinal game

If we lose Wednesday, regular day of school (8 periods)

Friday, March 13 *No school if we win Wednesday

7:00pm - 2A Championship Game

If we lose Wednesday, school will happen as scheduled with an 11:50am out 

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Northwestern College Fair - Tuesday, March 3

The junior class will head to Northwestern on March 3 for a college fair from 9:30 until 10:00 AM.  There will be approximately 40 colleges from Iowa and surrounding states for our students to learn more about. There will be a mixture of two year and four year options.

Your Future at Work Event - Monday, March 9

The sophomore class will head to the Your Future at Work Event on Monday, March 9 from 8:30 AM until 12:15 PM. You will hear from different career speakers and learn a little bit more about local job offerings and opportunities.  

JUNIORS and SENIORS please bring your Junior/Senior Banquet Permission & Liability Waiver Form and money (Juniors) by Wednesday 3/11. An email with details and the form was sent to your parents.

Men’s Bible Study: Join us on Friday mornings from 7:30 - 8:20 AM in Mr. Mouw’s room for a 6 week men’s Bible study. Males from all grades are welcome! Come grow in faith, build community, and have real conversations about 1st Peter! Reach out to Brayden Schollerman if you would like to join or if you have any questions. 

PARENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Lunch Pre-ordering: Please continue to pre-order lunches for your student. One important reminder: you must click “Save/Pay” at the bottom of the page. If you do not click this button, your selections will not be saved.

PLEASE READ: Parents, as we approach the end of the year, please take time to log into Blackbaud and view the tuition billing portal. Your total amount due can be found by clicking on "Billing" >> "Current Bill" >> and scrolling to the bottom right side of the page>> "Upcoming Due Dates" (That amount listed is your total balance due.) Please click HERE to see the attached screenshot for an example and please reach out with any questions! A reminder that all tuition/fees are expected to be paid prior to graduation for senior students.

Yearbook Ordering: Ordering yearbooks looks different this year. You may have received an email from Jostens this week about being able to order a yearbook for this year. The email is legit and you need to order and pay for a Unity yearbook online (no yearbooks can be ordered through the office). You can order until May 1, 2026. You can also go to HERE to order or the link is on the Resource Board in Blackbaud.

Families with current 8th grade students: Please take a few minutes to start the admission process if your student is planning to attend Unity next year. You should have received an email detailing the instructions last week - go to the green “Apply” tile on the Resource board in Blackbaud.

Information on ISASP Testing

Meat Donations for School Lunch Program: Unity is seeking beef and pork donations from local farmers to support our school lunch program. Unity will cover all processing fees. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Wayne Dykstra at wdykstra@unitychristian.net.

SPORTS

Notes of Encouragement for the Boys Basketball Team: We would love to send our boys basketball team off to state with notes of encouragement! If you would like to write a note, please be sure to specify the player, manager, or coach it is for and place it in the designated bag in the Unity Office. Deadline to submit notes is Friday, March 6. Thank you so much for supporting and encouraging our basketball boys!

Soccer and Golf practice starts soon for both boys and girls. If your son or daughter is planning to participate, please make sure they are registered in Bound and have taken the Impact test. Instructions for Bound and the link for the Impact test can be found on the Resource Board in Blackbaud.
