24-25 Yearbooks are IN! Stop in the office to pick yours up!

Freshmen: are you interested in applying for Student Council this year? Applications are in the office

and due at the end of the day on Friday. It's a fun group to be a part of and you get to help organize

different events for the school body all throughout the year. If you have any questions, contact Ms.

Vander Kooi.

If anyone who is no longer in Spanish classes would like to continue to do Duolingo without ads, let Mrs. Van Donge know.  I can put you in my non-students classroom so you can continue your noble quest to learn as much Spanish as humanly possible without the annoyance of ads standing in your way.

Quiz Bowl: Sign up is outside of Mrs. De Groot’s room. Practices begin on Wednesday (9/3)during lunch (both lunch periods.) If you want more information, see Mrs. De Groot. If you want to just experience it before committing, join us for practice on Wednesday.

Junior & Senior Powder Puff Game – Fall Spirit Week: Join us for the annual Powder Puff Game on Thursday, September 18, at 8:10 PM during Fall Spirit Week! For those who may be new, Powder Puff is a fun tradition where the junior girls face off against the senior girls in football, with the football boys stepping in as coaches. Practice times will be determined by the coaches. Coaches and players please sign up in the office by next week Friday, September 5 by 3:30 pm.

PARENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

ESA fall tuition amount is ready to be confirmed in your Odyssey portal. Please log into Odyssey and make sure you have completed this step. Once this is complete, the state will initiate the sending of funds to Unity on your behalf. Please reach out to Brittany Foreman with any questions!

ATTENDANCE

Students: Please remember to stop in the office to sign in if you are coming late to school or leaving

school early.

Parents: Please remember to send an email to koetken@unitychristian.net or call the Unity office at

(712)737-4114 if your student will be late for school, needs to leave school early or will be absent. You will receive attendance-related alerts throughout the day when your student is marked absent. The office will reconcile reasons and attendance toward the end of each day.

Unity Family Tree in Courtyard - We would love to add pictures of our new families at Unity Christian to our family tree located in the Courtyard. We also know some of you have taken new family pictures and would like to update yours on the tree. Boys Soccer Open gyms start AUGUST 30 (this Saturday) at 7:00 p.m. at the Aux Gym.

Kids Cheer Camp - Friday, September 19, 2025. Begins at 4:00 PM/Ends after half-time of the football
