STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Service Day 2026 - Wednesday, September 23: 

Service Day is an annual event in which students, in their Living Groups, are sent out to various locations to spend the day helping an individual or organization. 

Schedule for the Day:

8:25 - devotions with Living Groups in your room 

8:30 or once devotions are completed -  leave for your site 

Lunch - your Living Group will let you know lunch plans 

3:00-3:30 End of the day/return to Unity 

What to bring: 

old shoes / boots

gloves

your own water / snack / lunch (if applicable)

The Daily Routine Drink Order form for Friday, September 25: The Unity Dance Team will be selling Iced Coffee and Lotus drinks every Friday starting this Friday September 25. You may preorder HERE or order at the counter on Friday. We will be serving from 7:45 AM to 8:20 AM. $4 for all drinks!

Powder Puff Game - Monday, September 28 - 8PM: Get ready for a fun night of Powder Puff football! Admission for both players and spectators is canned goods, which will be donated to the Hope Food Pantry. If you have any questions feel free to contact Ms. Vander Kooi or Emily Oordt. 

Fall Play Auditions! Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 (before or after school) Auditions will be held for the Fall Two-Act play production: "Whodunit? ... and to Whom?" Whodunit means "a play focused on finding out who committed a crime, usually a murder". It's a funny comedy, and we need you! Do you have a great Russian or English accent - or want to try? Would you like to be a cop, pizza delivery guy, tech-whiz, thought-form, or novelist? Interested in helping backstage? Bring a friend and sign up by Mrs. Clark's door (Rm 110). 

Last Year’s Yearbook: We have a limited number of extra copies of the 2025–26 Yearbook available! If you didn’t order one but would like a copy, please stop by the office with $50 to purchase one. Copies are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment is required at the time of purchase. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Lunch Money & Pre-ordering: Please make sure your student has a positive balance in their lunch account and that you pre-order their lunches in advance.

FFA Fall Sale - Orders can be picked up on TODAY Monday, September 21, from 3:00–6:00 PM at Unity Christian. Payment is due at pick-up. Thank you for supporting our FFA!

Snacks for Professional Development Fridays

When our students have 1:30 dismissals on Fridays, our teachers gather together for professional development. We have been blessed with wonderful snacks for our teachers on these days in recent years, and we are again seeking volunteers this year. If you are interested and willing to help provide snacks for around 30 teachers for their professional development time on 1:30 dismissal Fridays, sign up here! Snacks for Teachers' PD Fridays

Emergency Kitchen Workers Needed: Parents, there are days when we have a need for emergency workers in the kitchen. Sick days, appointments and an occasional vacation day leave us searching for a “sub” for a day here and there. Would you consider being on an emergency list for days like these? The commitment would be to work from 11:30-1pm. You would receive a complimentary meal and a $15 credit to your child’s lunch account. You can always say “no” when we call. Thanks for considering. Unity Family Tree in Courtyard: We would love to add pictures of our new families at Unity Christian to our family tree located in the Courtyard. We also know some of you have taken new family pictures and would like to update yours on the tree. Parent Teacher Conferences:

Mark your calendars! Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on: Monday, November 2 from  4:00–8:00 PM and Tuesday, November 3 from 4:00–6:30 PM. 

Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, discuss their progress, and work together to support their success throughout the school year.

UC 9/25 Football Tailgate: Join us Friday, September 25 at 5:30 PM, west of the stadium, for the UC Football Tailgate! Thank you to Kenny Dragstra for sponsoring and grilling the sandwiches, and to Northwest Realty for providing the sides. All donations benefit the Unity Christian Booster Club. Come enjoy a meal and cheer on the Knights!

Security National Bank will host a Pre-Game Football Toss and launch T-shirts from their cannon during the game!
