STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Knightline Update - with more resources at your fingertips in Blackbaud, the Knightline will now be sent by email the first day of school each week. The Knightline is also available on your Resource Board all the time.
Parking Lot: Students please obey traffic laws and be mindful of other drivers as you leave our parking lot. In the last week we have heard of two close calls from others as cars leave our parking lot at the end of the day.
Attendance: Students, please remember to stop in the office to sign in if you are coming late to school or leaving school early.
24-25 Yearbooks are IN! Stop in the office to pick yours up!
Fall sport pictures are IN! Stop in the office to pick yours up!
Sophomores: Don’t forget to bring your donation for the Granville Fire Department to the front office by Thursday, Sept. 11. There is a class list on the office counter to check your name off after you donate.
If anyone who is no longer in Spanish classes would like to continue to do Duolingo without ads, let Mrs. Van Donge know. I can put you in my non-students classroom so you can continue your noble quest to learn as much Spanish as humanly possible without the annoyance of ads standing in your way.
Freshmen/Senior Ice Cream Social is Tuesday (9/9)! Freshmen and Seniors, during afternoon break, please head towards the lunchroom and courtyard to have the ice cream and get to
know the other classes more.

Student school pictures - grades 9-11 - Wednesday, September 10 - ONLINE ORDERING!
Vanessa Bartels with Generations Portraiture will be taking school pictures on Wednesday morning, September 10. This year there is online ordering for school pictures! Please place an order before Wednesday, September 10.
- There mistakenly are two delivery options when ordering school photos.
Please choose the free “pickup at studio” option, but ALL orders will be brought to school as
usual.
- If you have multiple students at Unity please complete a separate order for each student.
- All students will be photographed on picture day regardless of whether or not an order is
placed, as these images are used by the school for other purposes such as the yearbook.

Snacks for Professional Development Fridays
When our students have 1:30 dismissals on Fridays, our teachers gather together for professional
development. We have been blessed with wonderful snacks for our teachers on these days in recent
years, and we are again seeking volunteers this year. If you are interested and willing to help provide
snacks for around 30 teachers for their professional development time on 1:30 dismissal Fridays, sign
up below!
ESA fall tuition amount is ready to be confirmed in your Odyssey portal. Please log into Odyssey and make sure you have completed this step. Once this is complete, the state will initiate the sending of funds to Unity on your behalf. Please reach out to Brittany Foreman with any questions!
Attendance: Parents, please remember to send an email to koetken@unitychristian.net or call the Unity office at (712)737-4114 if your student will be late for school, needs to leave school early or will be absent. You will receive attendance-related alerts throughout the day when your student is marked absent. The office will reconcile reasons and attendance toward the end of each day.
Unity Family Tree in Courtyard - We would love to add pictures of our new families at Unity Christian to our family tree located in the Courtyard. We also know some of you have taken new family pictures and would like to update yours on the tree. Please send your family pictures to aobbink@unitychristian.net along with the names of your family members. Thank you!
