STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Freshmen Grandparent's Day - Thursday, April 16: Click HERE for details about Freshmen Grandparent's Day. Please pass this along to your grandparents and encourage them to RSVP. We are excited for the freshmen to share a day with their grandparents!


Men’s Bible Study: Join us on Friday mornings from 7:30 - 8:20 AM in Mr. Mouw’s room for a men’s Bible study. Males from all grades are welcome! Come grow in faith, build community, and have real conversations about Colossians and common Biblical questions! Reach out to Brayden Schollerman if you would like to join or if you have any questions. 


Cleanathon:

  • Address Collection: Earn extra credit in your science class by filling out THIS form.Deadline: Wednesday, April 1 by the end of the school day

  • Cleanathon Event: Unity’s annual Cleanathon fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, April 29. Students will work in their Living Groups to clean ditches throughout Sioux County.Rain date: May 6


PARENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Unity’s Ag Business class is raising high-quality chicken and pork under the business name UC Flock & Stock. Their goal is to provide fresh, locally raised meat while practicing responsibility and stewardship. Everything they sell is handled with care, and they offer great options for families and grilling. If you’re looking for better quality meat and an opportunity to  support Unity students, they’d love for you to order from them. Chickens will be butchered in the beginning of May, and the pork will be ready in June. Ordering information will be coming soon. Thank you!


PLEASE READ - TUITION INFORMATION: Parents, as we approach the end of the year, please take time to log into Blackbaud and view the tuition billing portal. Your total amount due can be found by clicking on "Billing" >> "Current Bill" >> and scrolling to the bottom right side of the page>> "Upcoming Due Dates" (That amount listed is your total balance due.) Please click HERE to see the attached screenshot for an example and please reach out with any questions! A reminder that all tuition/fees are expected to be paid prior to graduation for senior students.


Yearbook Ordering: Ordering yearbooks looks different this year. You may have received an email from Jostens this week about being able to order a yearbook for this year. The email is legit and you need to order and pay for a Unity yearbook online (no yearbooks can be ordered through the office). You can order until May 1, 2026. You can also go to HERE to order or the link is on the Resource Board in Blackbaud.


Families with current 8th grade students: Please take a few minutes to start the admission process if your student is planning to attend Unity next year. If you have not, please login to Blackbaud and go to the green “Apply” tile on the Resource board in Blackbaud. It would be great if you could do this before they come for 8th grade day on April 14 - thanks!

Meat Donations for School Lunch Program: Unity is seeking beef and pork donations from local farmers to support our school lunch program. Unity will cover all processing fees. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Wayne Dykstra at wdykstra@unitychristian.net.

State Champions Apparel: The Unity Christian Boys Basketball State Champions online store has been launched. Please order by March 31 at noon. No late orders! The direct link for the store is: https://cfpromo.chipply.com/unitystatebballchamps/


Summer sports apparel store is OPEN! This is the only opportunity to purchase your softball & baseball apparel, so don't miss out. Place your order by Friday, April 10 at midnight. 


CONGRATULATIONS! Our boys basketball players have received an incredible number of awards following their state championship season! We have done our best to compile a list of their achievements - be sure to click here to see their awards. Way to go, boys! Go Knights!


CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Cody Harskamp for being selected as the NWIA IBCA Coach of the Year, 2A Region 1 Coach of the Year, & NWIA Review Coach of the Year.


2026 Unity Soccer and Track Gate and Concessions Sign Up:

Please sign up HERE to help with gate and concessions for our home soccer and track meets.

  • REMINDER: We ask each family to sign up for a total of 4 spots throughout each school year to either work the gate or concessions stand at home games/meets. Please remember if you are signing up for 2 slots during a time frame to select the quantity 2. Thank you for helping serve!



Weight Room Hours: The weight room will be open Wednesday mornings and Friday mornings from 7:00-8:00 AM beginning Wednesday 3/25.  It will also continue to be open every day after school.


Cheerleading Tryouts! - Friday, April 17, 2026 4 - 6 pm. Click HERE for more details. All cheerleaders, including returning members, are required to try out each year. Please sign up in the Unity office or by emailing jwolgen@unity.pvt.k12.ia.us.

***Important note to parents of multiple athletes wishing to order a sibling group photo: 

  1. Please inform both/all siblings ahead of photo time that they need to take a group photo in addition to their individual photo on picture day.  

  2. Ask them to notify me (the photographer) on picture day that they need a sibling photo.

Registration for 2026 UC Sports Camps is OPEN! Unity is excited to offer a wide variety of sports camps throughout the year, giving athletes opportunities to grow their skills, compete, and have fun. With many camp options available, there’s something for everyone. Please note that each athlete must be registered individually. Click HERE to register!
