Welcome to Jr Knights Volleyball! This AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) program is offered to girls in grades 4-11. Year after year, we have seen the benefits these practices and tournaments can bring, so we would like to invite your daughter to participate in this rewarding experience!

SCHEDULE:

First practices will be held in December. Tournaments are on Saturdays from mid January - mid March. If teams qualify, there is a Gold tournament at the end of March that they may attend. Teams are usually assigned a morning or afternoon tournament

each week.

 

PRACTICES:

We will schedule one practice/week for each grade level. If individual teams would like additional practice times, each team’s head coach is responsible for arranging those dates, times, and locations. 

 

TEAMS:

Depending on the interest shown, we hope to have between 1-4 teams for each grade level with 7-10 girls per team. All participants will be placed on a team with no cuts being made. If there are enough girls for 3+ teams, we will follow these guidelines…

 

5th grade - Girls with more advanced skills will be grouped together on a team, and the rest of the girls will be intermixed. 

 

6th/7th/8th grade - A team of coaches will place girls on a team with a similar skill level. This is done to avoid a girl with average skill development relying on a stronger player instead of being challenged to improve their own game. Skill levels vary a little more by this age, and we want each player to be challenged to the next level. We believe this is best accomplished by dividing teams accordingly. 

 

COACHES:

Parents, older siblings, college students, and former players who are interested in teaching the fundamentals of volleyball are encouraged to coach for our program. We will do our best to equip you with resources to make your season successful! Please indicate your availability to coach in the registration form. If you know of someone who would be a great fit for our program,

5th - 8th Grade REGISTRATION:

Before your daughter comes to the first practices, please fill out the registration form at this link: Knights 5th-8th AAU Registration - Deadline to register is December 20, 2025.

Program fees cover: AAU membership & sanction fees, tournament entry fees, coaches, gym rental, liability insurance, t-shirt jersey, and other miscellaneous expenses.

4th Grade REGISTRATION and information:

4th-grade practices will begin in January, and the season will run 5-6 weeks with 3-4 tournaments. We would like to intermix the teams each week. Please note, we will not send any 4th-grade teams to the Gold tournament, even if they qualify.

 

FIRST PRACTICE INFORMATION:

 

The first practice to see how we will make teams will be the following dates and times, all held in Unity's Auxiliary gym.

Practice #1 - Saturday -12/20/25: 

9:00 - 10:15 - 5th Grade

10:30 - 11:45 - 6th Grade 

12:30 - 2:00 - 7th Grade

2:15 - 3:30 - 8th grade

Practice #2 - Friday -1/2/26: 

4:00 - 5:15 - 7th Grade

5:30 - 6:45 - 8th grade

Practice #2 - Saturday - 1/3/26:

12:00 - 1:15 - 5th Grade

1:30 - 2:45 - 6th grade
