TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science) is an annual science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition that challenges teams of students to work collaboratively to solve real-world engineering challenges, applying their math and science knowledge in practical, creative ways. Teams of two to four students compete for state awards. Teams whose combined overall state level score is among the top 20% nationally will be eligible to compete for Best-in-Nation at the 2023 National TEAMS Competitions. It is a one day competition composed of three parts: design/build (design and build a solution to an engineering challenge), multiple choice (use math and science skills to solve real-world engineering challenges), and essay. If you are interested in taking part in the TEAMS challenge this year, sign up outside Mrs. De Groot’s classroom by Friday, January 20. If you want more information about TEAMS first, feel free to talk to or email Mrs. De Groot.
