CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS as both teams advance to state next week in Ft. Dodge! Medalists include:
Girls: Kating Young in 2nd, Jaidyn De Jong in 9th, and Abby Klompien in 15th
Boys: Ethan Wynia in 8th, Jonathan Breems in 9th, Stephen Schreurs in 10th, and Daylen
Mulder in 13th.
STATE CROSS COUNTRY FAN BUS is available to ride to the state meet in Fort Dodge on FRI, OCT 28. The cost of the ride is $10 and ONLINE TICKETS are available to purchase HERE https://www.gobound.com/ia/ighsau/girlscrosscountry/2022-23/tickets Bring extra cash for the evening meal as you may stop on the way home to eat. A MINIMUM of 20 STUDENTS ARE NEEDED TO SIGN UP TO TAKE THE BUS! Sign-up sheet is in the office. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP AND PAY IS THURS, OCT 27 AT NOON IN THE OFFICE!

Iowa Cheer State Championships: The Unity Cheer team will be competing in the Iowa Cheer State Championships this coming weekend, Saturday the 29th, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. This is the first time our team will be participating in this exciting event!

The team consists of: Addie Terpstra, Amaya Vande Vegte, Ava Noyes, Ellie Struck, Emilee Schrock, Emma Sandbulte, Lily Bonnema, Kenna Huizenga, Maddie Bonnema, Meghan Vos, and Meysi Pennings. The team is coached by Jenness Wolgen.
Congratulations to each of the musicians who individually competed on Saturday for a place in the All-State Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. The following students will be representing Unity Christian at the All-State Music Festival in Ames on November 17-19. This is the highest honor a high school musician can obtain.
