Sports Report: Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams who both advance to State! Boys placed 3rd out 14 teams. Girls placed 2nd out of 14. Way to Go Knights!
Announcements:
· Sub-State Volleyball Game: Sioux Center High School has given Unity 500 wristbands for the sub-state game against Sheldon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 at Sioux Center High School. These need to be purchased before the game at Unity’s office. There will be no wristbands sold at the game. Wristbands are $6. Sales will start Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. and end Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Checks can be made to Unity. We will not reserve or set aside any wristbands. Game will not be live streamed.
· Any girls who are interested in participating in basketball cheer let us know so that we can begin our planning for the season! There will be a sheet in the office to put your name down on or you can text coach Kate at 712.441.7092 or email at k8vervelde@gmail.com
· Just a friendly reminder that NO pets are allowed at any of Unity’s sporting events.
· We are still using Zoom to connect students with Covid related absences into the classroom. If your son or daughter is home for another reason, we will not set up zoom for
that.
· Sign Out: Students please sign in and out of the office when you are arriving or leaving school. Thank you!
· Parents: If possible, notify the office before 10:00 a.m. if your child is going to be absent. This will ensure their teacher is notified of their absence.
