Announcements:
The Film Studies classes would like to thank the folks at Unity for supporting our 2 bake sales. We raised $727 for kids entering foster care and for women who were victims of human trafficking.
Parents of students who will be entering 12th grade: All students entering 12th grade must have the Meningococcal vaccine before the first day of school. Students who had the Meningococcal shot before age 16 will need a booster before 12th grade. They cannot start school without it.
* Call your healthcare provider to see if your child needs the Meningococcal booster
* A great time to get these vaccines is when kids go in for wellness and sports physicals in the summer
* To be valid for entry to 12th grade, students must have a dose of Meningococcal vaccine given after age 16
* Bring an updated Iowa Certificate of Immunization from your provider to your child’s school
Atlas, Northwestern and Young Life are sponsoring a weekly event called Impact 180. Impact 180 is for all high school students in the area and is a time of fellowship, food, tutoring, small group time and video games. Meetings will be on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:00 and Fridays from 1:30-3:00 at City Hall. Students can come just for fellowship, or they can earn volunteer hours by leading small group sessions or tutoring. See the posters in the hall or Mrs. Zeutenhorst for more information.
